Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior SAP FICO (Finance & Controlling) Consultant with bilingual Portuguese and English language skills to support an Application Maintenance and Support (AMS) project. The consultant will be responsible for resolving incidents, handling service requests, and optimizing finance and controlling processes. The role requires strong expertise in SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Controlling (CO-PA, CO-PC, CO-OM), and Financial Reporting, along with SAP S/4HANA Finance integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 AMS support for SAP FICO, troubleshooting issues, resolving service requests, and handling system enhancements.

• Manage finance and controlling processes, including GL, AR, AP, AA, CO-PA, CO-PC, and CO-OM.

• Handle taxation, payment processing, bank reconciliation, and financial closing activities.

• Ensure seamless integration between SAP FICO and other modules such as MM, SD, PP, and HR.

• Support SAP S/4HANA Finance functionalities, including New GL, Universal Journal (ACDOCA), and Profitability Analysis (COPA).

• Troubleshoot asset accounting, tax calculation, and foreign currency revaluation issues.

• Work on Electronic Bank Statements (EBS), Treasury & Risk Management (TRM), and FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management).

• Support SAP FICO integration with external systems (banks, third-party tax solutions, payment gateways, etc.).

• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and drive system improvements.

• Collaborate with business users to optimize financial workflows and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and local statutory reporting requirements.

• Adhere to ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.

• Provide end-user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to finance teams.

• Communicate effectively with Portuguese-speaking stakeholders in LATAM, Europe, or other regions.

• Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years in SAP FICO AMS support.

• Strong knowledge of SAP FI (GL, AR, AP, AA) and CO (PA, PC, OM, CCA, PCA).

• Hands-on experience in financial closing, tax reporting, asset management, and bank reconciliation.

• Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and FIORI-based financial applications.

• Experience with SAP integration tools (IDocs, BAPIs, BADI, ALE, and SAP BTP Integration Suite).

• Familiarity with SAP FSCM, Treasury, Credit Management, and Revenue Recognition.

• Knowledge of local taxation, e-invoicing, and compliance regulations in Portuguese-speaking countries.

• Strong experience using ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) for AMS support.

• Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

Deliverables:

-Process Flows

-Mentor and Knowledge transfer to client project team members

-Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility

-Participate in data conversion and data maintenance

-Provide best practice and industry specific solutions

-Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions

-Provide thought leadership as well as hands on technical configuration/development as needed.

-Participate as a team member of the functional team

-Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill Matrix:

• Bilingual Portuguese and English language skills
